帶菌者提醒家人檢查
如發現自己是帶菌者，應加倍避免病毒傳染。雖然口水中也帶有病毒，但由於分量少，因此不會經接吻傳播，所以與他人同桌食飯、擁抱，也不成問題。不過，謹記別與他人共用個人用品如牙刷、剃刀及指甲鉗等，因病毒可經這類接觸傳播。患者應提醒伴侶檢查有否病毒抗體，性交時須用避孕套，做好防護措施。帶菌者應把病情告之家族成員，提醒他們及早檢查，原因是病毒是可能經母體傳染。
