It turns out that a severe stomach ulcer is responsible for causing a hole in your stomach, known as gastrointestinal perforation. Dr. Fong also told us that a prolonged use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), Aspirin, or even steroids is one of the major risk factors for gastrointestinal perforation.
