Public-private collaboration program for intestinal examination (gut collaborative)

As Hong Kong citizens demand for kidney disease examinations is increasing, the Hong Kong Hospital Authority has launched the "Borne Tract Inspection Public-Private Partnership Plan". The Medical Authority will provide each patient with a prescribed amount of assistance ($6,800/7,500), allowing qualified patients to choose to undergo a gynecological examination by a private medical center, provide patients with more options and receive a gynecological examination in advance.

We at HKMED also participate in the "Public-Private Collaboration Scheme for Intestinal Examination", and eligible persons can receive fee reduction arrangements. We encourage everyone over the age of 50, especially those with a family history ofColorectal Cancer, to get regular colorectal cancer screening. This screening procedure is simple, painless and very effective. Through early inspection, we can detect potential problems in advance and take appropriate treatment measures, greatly improving the chance of successful treatment.

Eligibility for the Bowel Examination Public-Private Collaboration Program (Gut Collaboration)

Step 1: The Hospital Authority will determine the priority based on the patient's registration date for colonoscopy and their clinical situation, and then invite suitable patients in batches by letter. Patients do not need to apply by themselves.

Step 3: Applicants need to go to a designated clinic under the Hospital Authority for assessment and submit the application form.

Step 5: Patients who have successfully registered can freely choose a private specialist from the list of participating private doctors to receive clinical assessment and colonoscopy services.
